Jar-ed was feeling amazing, yet he didn't want to move. You see, this female Jessica happened to be next to him, and the warmth of her touch was amazing.

Until she hopped back.

Jessica: Ready to fly?

Jar-ed: No, not yet. Why would we want to fly anywhere?

Jessica: I want to feel you flying.

Jar-ed: Wait, now we're doing the checking each other out thing?

Jessica hopped once towards the light.

Jar-ed: But I might need to rest. after all, I just kicked another raven's ass.

Jessica: Nope. You're fine.

Jar-ed paused a second.

He shook himself. And hopped right by her and took off.

Jar-ed chose a path straight west, towards the nearest pines that bordered the half mile long saddle shaped clearing their (their? he thought) tree. Without comment, Jessica slotted in right beside him.

He veered to follow the tree line, Jessica keeping up effortlessly.

Jar-ed: If we're going to make sure of each other, then I'm going to share what I think and see if you can keep up.

Jessica: Yes

Jar-ed: My life has completely changed in the last three days. This amazing area is ideal for many couples to honor by giving birth. Why not our band of birds? We found it.

I don't particularly know how to lead a town, but neither have I made many terrible errors in my life, either. So how can I not screw this up? Or, said the other way, is there anything I can do to help?

Jessica soared in front of him, and gained altitude briefly to loop back behind Jar'ed and swoop hard to catch up with him again.

Jessica: Sounds right. A big question, and the right one.

She paused.

Jessica: We're flying around the whole thing, right?

Jar-ed: Yes we are!
